Special Guest Nikki Duncan!

Hi everyone, and welcome to the Monday edition of The Naughty Christmas Blog Party! Don't forget that there's several giveaways going on. You can find all the details here.

Today I'm thrilled to have Nikki Duncan in the spotlight, sharing about her latest Christmas release, Her Miracle Man. This book has been getting some fabulous, well-deserved reviews, so do yourselves a favor and pick up a copy! :)

Can a Woman Resist the Gems of HER MIRACLE MAN?

Her Miracle Man is a contemporary romance with a hero intent on winning the heroine’s heart. That was the first layer of possibilities I played with when I began writing my latest Christmas story.

I wondered though what this hero could give, or do for, the heroine that no one else had. Then, on my research trip to Indianapolis I stumbled across something at the Children’s Museum. Rocks.

I loved the idea of having the hero give the heroine a gift after each outing with a child, but why rocks? Well, because he was astute enough to notice that the heroine’s late sister had collected them. More, he knew that the heroine had been the reason why.

Each stone he gave her through the story had a special meaning. I thought I’d share a few of them with you here. :)

Peacock Ore
“It’s pretty and vibrant on the outside and hard on the inside. It made me think of you,” said Ryland.

Rose Quartz
“It also brings optimism and healing, sometimes happiness.”
“As a medical professional you’re giving a rock credit for healing people?”
“Not all wounds are medical in nature. The rose quartz helps balance emotions and can spark the energy to heal broken hearts.”

Amethyst Cluster
“Did you know they’re good for keeping the air and life force of your home clean and positive?”
“I did.”
“Then you know that feeds directly into its calming properties.” He kissed her again. “Put it under your pillow and have pleasant dreams.”

Tell me, what kind of special gifts have you received from a special someone?

Her Miracle Man is now available from Samhain Publishing.

A last wish brings them together. Only love can keep them there.

Children’s hospital administrator Ryland Davids was attracted to event planner Jennalyn James the moment he saw her. He thought there would be plenty of time to get to know her—until her younger sister, Sabrina, was admitted with complications from traumatic brain injury.

Sabrina’s bright courage broke through Ryland’s wall of professional distance, but once she drew her last breath, Jennalyn left the hospital and never returned. Though he understands her need for distance, there’s a hole in his heart that won’t heal. And a last wish from Sabrina he’s honor-bound to deliver.

When Jennalyn comes face to face with Ryland at a charity event, the pain comes rushing back, threatening to shatter her everything’s-fine façade. It doesn’t help that the lump in her throat is mostly her heart, leaping in response to his touch.

Despite her reluctance to return to the scene of her grief, she fulfills Sabrina’s final request to plan a series of Christmas events for the kids. Over the course of A Month of Miracles, Ryland and Jennalyn discover there’s the light of hope at the end of grief’s dark tunnel. But it may not be enough to heal her broken heart.

A special gift I got was another dog after I had lost my little Jack Russell terrier. I was not planing on another dog, but my son gave me a small mutt-like dog last Christmas. Now I really like him and so glad it was a gift .

Thanks for having me here today, Jodi. And thanks everyone for commenting. I adore this story and hope you will love it when you read it.

elaing8, my daughter has a necklace with her name on it in Arabic. One of her uncles brought it back from a tour of duty.

tl.etheridge31, that engraved ring sounds like something to be cherished.

Joye, there's not much love like that of a puppy.

I wish my gifts included precious stones! My boyfriend Gave me a bracelet made of shells from a beach trip we too last summer. That is as mushy as he gets! In all honesty I wouldn't trade that bracelet for one of diamonds.

A special gift I received was a ring from my husband's grandmother. It had belonged to her grandmother and she wanted me to have it.

Hi Nikki. I love the idea of the rocks as gifts. Something small but with special meaning can be the most romantic thing a person can do. My mother in law gave me a ring that was made from my husband's baby spoon for Christmas 2002. She passed away the following year. It is something I treasure and wouldn't trade for all the precious stones in the world.
Hope you have a wonderful Christmas. Thanks for the chance to win. <^_^>

I love it when there is special meaning behind items - especially if it is more private between the two.
Thanks for sharing this one.
